Sara Calero’s Career Trajectory

Year 2027

A new project titled “Transformación, la mujer eunuco” will be premiered and presented at the CC Paco Rabal in Vallecas.

Year 2026

The company continues touring with various shows from its repertoire and prepares the premiere of the theater version of “Intangible, o la mujer que quiso ser hombre” on April 24th at Teatro El Soto in Móstoles. Likewise, the show “Taberna Femme” is presented at the León City Auditorium.

Year 2025

The company carries out an extensive tour with various shows from its repertoire, highlighting the presence of “La Finitud” in several national and international theaters. In October, “Taberna Femme” premieres at the Sala Verde of Teatros del Canal within the framework of the Suma Flamenca Festival, receiving great critical acclaim.

Year 2024

The company premieres “El Renacer” at the Sala Roja of Teatros del Canal. With this show, the company will perform in 2026 at major venues such as the Teatro Villamarta in Jerez and the Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo.

Year 2023

Presentation of “Fractura” alongside Lucía Campillo at the Hauser & Wirth Gallery in Menorca. Additionally, “La Finitud” is performed at the Festival de Jerez and begins its tour through the Morocco Flamenco Festival, visiting Casablanca and Fez.

Year 2021 - 2022

Premiere of “La Finitud” at Teatros del Canal / Suma Flamenca. The work was selected for Madferia 2022, the Muver Festival in Zaragoza, and the Itálica Dance Festival 2023. The company also premiered “Mascarada” at the Museum of Romanticism in Madrid as part of the “Ellas Crean” festival.

Year 2020

Presentation of the version of “Petisa Loca” at the Ciclo Flamenco en el Real of the Teatro Real and at the Teatro Monumental in Madrid. In June 2020, “Fandango Avenue” premieres at Teatros del Canal as part of the Madrid en Danza International Festival, with the presence of the Spanish Royal Family.

Year 2018 - 2019

Premiere of “Fandango Street” at the Clásicos en Alcalá Festival, followed by performances at the Olite Festival in Navarra and the Granada Festival of Music and Dance 2019. That same year, the company toured several African countries with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation.

Year 2017

With “Petisa Loca,” the company participated in the prestigious Madrid en Danza International Festival, performing for the first time in the Sala Roja of Teatros del Canal. “Petisa Loca” undertook an extensive international tour visiting Nicaragua, Ecuador, Luxembourg, and the United States.

Year 2015

The show “Cosmogonía” completed a season at the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania. In this work, Sara Calero was joined by a high-quality artistic cast, featuring prominent dancers Carlos Chamorro and Moisés Rodriguez.

Year 2013

With “El mirar de la maja,” Sara Calero received the Revelation Award at the Festival de Jerez. Her artistic profile was further strengthened by presenting this work at renowned international festivals such as the St. Petersburg Festival and the Toulouse Flamenco Festival.

Year 2011

Founding of the company and premiere of its first show, “Zona Cero.” Since then, the company has produced 13 stagings and has been featured in major programs like the Suzanne Dellal Centre in Tel Aviv, the Vancouver Flamenco Festival, and the Esch Festival in Luxembourg.
